What are weight loss affirmations and how can they help you
lose weight?
Have you heard the term ‘garbage in’ ‘garbage out’. Our
minds have been compared to computers, albeit our minds are much more
sophisticated and advanced but there are many comparisons that hold true. Just as you can design and write a program to
produce a desire result on a computer the same can be said for our brains, they
can be programmed through the use of positive affirmations and self talk.
It has been said that we are the direct result of our
thoughts, experiences and actions since we were born. Take the world we live in today, everything
around us was once an idea that emanated from some ones brain, the idea was
then spoken, written down and eventually action was taken for it to become the reality
we live in today.
Let’s look at affirmations from a physical point of view,
how do they affect us physically?
As we all know one of the biggest causes of illness derive
from stress. Stress is caused by negative thinking and being stressed over a
long period of time(chronic stress) causes all sorts of physical ailments that
present themselves over time.
Joy, laughter and
thinking in a positive manner on the other hand have been proven time and again
to have a positive effect on our health, we are better able to cope with daily stresses
in our lives, our general well being is better and we tend to have more energy.
The law of attraction says that we attract what we think and
feel most about, wouldn’t it stand to
reason to not only feel and think what we want but also to state out loud and
tell the world what we desire.
You can find thousands of positive affirmations on the
internet and there are many fantastic ones out there but I believe that coming
up with your own gives them that special significance.
There are some rules to follow when writing affirmations:
- State what you want not what you don’t want.
- State them in the present
- State the affirmation as fact.
- While speaking the affirmation, emotionalize it.
- Keep each affirmation within one sentence.
- Make adjustments as needed.
- Say the affirmations out loud.
- Say your affirmation(s) twice a day, morning and evening(more if possible)
If you don’t have time here are some ready to use
affirmations:
I am living a healthy lifestyle
I am dedicated to following my weight loss plan
I am dedicated to following my weight loss exercise program
I am losing weight
I enjoy eating healthy food
So why not get stuck into positive affirmations. The time it
takes to repeat your affirmations a couple of times a day is really negligible
but the rewards could be great.
I hope you enjoyed this post, I know that some of you are
dubious about positive affirmations but you have nothing to lose expect excess
weight. If anything else they will make you feel better about yourself which is
a good thing right!
Positive mind and attitude are factors that will always bring good results.
